Heartbeam shares fall on market update
Stock declines after company provides mid-year operational update, citing delays in key product launches.

Heartbeam Inc. shares fell on Tuesday after the medical technology company provided a mid-year operational update, citing delays in the launch of its key products.
The company, which develops wearable cardiac monitoring devices, said in a statement that its flagship product, the Heartbeam Advanced Monitoring System, had faced "unexpected regulatory and supply chain challenges." These delays have pushed back commercial availability by at least six months, the company noted.
Heartbeam’s stock, which had been trading up 1.2% earlier in the session, reversed course following the announcement, declining 8.3% to $4.20 by midday. Trading volume surged to more than double the 30-day average, reflecting heightened investor reaction.
Analysts at William Blair maintained a Market Perform rating on the stock but trimmed their price target to $5.50 from $6.00, citing the delays as a near-term headwind. The firm noted that while the long-term outlook for Heartbeam’s technology remains intact, the extended timeline for commercialization increases execution risk.
Heartbeam’s update also included a reduction in its full-year revenue guidance, now projecting $15 million to $18 million, down from a prior range of $20 million to $25 million. The company attributed the downward revision to the delayed product launches and slower-than-expected adoption of its existing monitoring solutions.
Investor sentiment has been mixed since Heartbeam’s initial public offering in 2023, with shares trading volatile amid broader market uncertainty in the medtech sector. The company’s latest update underscores the challenges faced by early-stage medical device firms in navigating regulatory hurdles and supply chain disruptions.
Heartbeam did not provide additional details on the specific regulatory or supply chain issues but stated that it is working closely with regulators and suppliers to resolve them as quickly as possible.
