South Korea’s Hanwha Aerospace has secured an export contract to supply K9 self-propelled howitzers to Spain, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing.
The agreement was finalized with Indra Sistemas, a Spanish defense firm, though neither the total contract value nor delivery schedule was disclosed due to confidentiality terms. The K9 howitzer is a tracked artillery system developed by Hanwha Aerospace for military applications.
Under the contract terms, Hanwha Aerospace will receive an initial payment equivalent to 20% of the contract value upon signing. A further 5% payment is scheduled to be received by the end of the year. The company did not provide additional financial or operational details regarding the transaction.
