The Royal Court of Guernsey has placed Ceiba Investments Limited into administration management following an order issued on August 18, 2026, at the request of the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC).
Joint administrators Matthew Wright and Sophie Smith were appointed under the Financial Services Business (Enforcement Powers) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2020, a regulatory mechanism distinct from the Companies (Guernsey) Law 2008 insolvency process. The administration management route is available exclusively to the GFSC and is used when an entity poses, or is likely to pose, undue risk to customers, the public, or the reputation of Guernsey as a financial center.
The administrators noted that Ceiba Investments issued a statement on the morning of August 18, prior to their appointment, and without their involvement. They also stated that no position has been taken regarding the company’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designation status or its trading suspension on the Specialist Fund Segment of the London Stock Exchange.
Ceiba Investments operates under ISIN GG00BFMDJH11 and was listed on the Specialist Fund Segment, where its shares had been suspended.
