Greenpanel Q1 FY27 margins rise as exports slump
India’s Greenpanel Industries reported margin expansion in Q1 FY27 despite a sharp decline in export volumes, driven by domestic demand and cost efficiencies.

Greenpanel Industries Ltd. said on Monday its quarterly margins expanded in the first quarter of fiscal 2027 even as export shipments collapsed, underscoring resilience in domestic demand and operational efficiencies.
The company, a major plywood and laminates manufacturer, did not disclose specific margin figures in its preliminary Q1 FY27 update. However, it attributed the improvement to lower raw material costs and sustained demand in the domestic market. Export volumes fell sharply, it said, without providing a percentage decline or absolute figures.
Greenpanel, listed on the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange, added that it expects continued pressure on exports due to global economic headwinds but remains focused on stabilizing domestic operations. The company’s shares were trading 1.2% higher in early trade on Monday, reflecting investor confidence in its margin trajectory despite weaker overseas sales.
