GoldQuest Mining Corp. has appointed Dennis Kwong as its Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Kwong succeeds Paul Robertson, who had served in the role since 2010.
Kwong holds Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Professional Accountant designations. Most recently, he served as CFO of Florida Canyon Gold Inc., where he oversaw the company's spinout and public listing, the sale of its Mexican business to Heliostar Metals, and its merger with Integra Resources.
Prior to this, Kwong spent approximately 15 years with Centerra Gold in various business development positions. His tenure included leading a $1.1 billion acquisition of Thompson Creek Metals, a C$310 million acquisition of AuRico Metals, and the acquisition of the Goldfield Project in Nevada.
Earlier in his career, Kwong held business development positions with Xstrata Nickel, Falconbridge, and Noranda, where he structured and executed the financing plan for the $3.9 billion Koniambo nickel project in New Caledonia.
