Major U.S. stocks diverged on Friday, with Goldman Sachs Group rising 1.8% and Alibaba’s U.S.-listed shares falling 7.42% among mega-cap movers.
In the large-cap segment, Circle Internet Group advanced 7.72% and Social Capital Hedosophia V gained 5.72%. Ubiquiti Networks dropped 9.53% despite beating fourth-quarter earnings expectations, as the stock’s post-earnings rally faded by session close.
Mid-cap stocks saw broader gains, led by Evolution Metals Tech, which surged 26.13%. Inflection Point Acquisition II rose 9.99%, Figure Technology Solutions climbed 8.32%, and Marathon Pa added 3.14%. OSI Systems was the segment’s outlier, declining 8.32%.
Small-cap movers included CONL, up 16.73%, VPC Impact Acquisition gaining 13.73%, BITX advancing 12.5%, and MSTU rising 15.25%.
