Global X ETFs II ICAV, the Dublin-based fund platform, has appointed Ho Wah Fok as a director, effective August 19, the company said on Wednesday.
Fok, who serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer (ETF) at Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong), brings more than 15 years of experience in managing fixed-income and equity exchange-traded funds. His appointment follows a career spanning roles at BlackRock, where he spent 11 years as lead portfolio manager overseeing ETFs and institutional index mandates, Bank of Montreal Global Asset Management as a senior ETF portfolio manager in 2018, and Harvest Global Investment as Head of ETF.
At Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong), Fok leads the ETF investment platform and oversees the growth of Global X ETFs’ offerings in Asia. The appointment aligns with Global X ETFs II ICAV’s expansion in the region, where the firm has been expanding its listed fund lineup on Euronext Dublin.
The ICAV noted that no additional information regarding Fok’s appointment is required under Euronext Dublin’s disclosure requirements.
