Global Payments Inc. (NYSE: GPN) launched its Genius World event in Las Vegas, a four-day showcase running through August 27 designed to demonstrate its latest point-of-sale and payment technologies. The event, held at the company’s simulated "Main Street" environment, features operational storefronts including a wine shop, café, restaurant, stadium concession, drive-thru, and food truck to illustrate real-world applications of its Genius product line.
The Genius portfolio includes a handheld edge AI device, modular countertop solutions, kiosks, digital menu boards, and integrated drive-thru technology combining hardware, software, and payment processing. Nearly 50 sessions across the event will cover commerce trends, AI applications, product updates, and business strategies, targeting merchants, resellers, financial institutions, independent sales organizations, and agent banks.
David Rumph, President of SMB for Global Payments, said the showcase underscores the company’s focus on integrating software, hardware, and payments to help businesses operate more efficiently. The event also introduces the Genius Road Trip, a U.S. tour with over 40 stops planned from Las Vegas to Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Orlando, where product demonstrations will be conducted at client partner locations. Select local merchants will receive a "Genius in Action" award during the tour.
Global Payments processes payments in more than 175 countries, with featured speakers including former basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski and chef Roy Choi.
