Global exports of green coffee rose 0.8% year-over-year in June, totaling 10.48 million 60-kg bags, according to a monthly report from the International Coffee Organization (ICO) released Friday. The increase was primarily attributed to a surge in shipments of Brazil naturals Arabica, which rebounded after 15 consecutive months of declines.
Exports of Brazil naturals Arabica climbed 7.1% to 2.76 million bags in June, while Colombian milds Arabica rose 1.2% to 1.09 million bags. The gains followed a sharp year-ago decline in June 2025, creating a base effect that amplified the rebound.
In contrast, shipments of green robusta coffee beans, commonly used in instant coffee blends, declined 2.1% to 3.97 million bags. This marked the second negative growth reading in the first nine months of the 2025/26 crop year, according to the ICO data.
