Fury Gold Mines reported assay results from 22 drill holes completed as part of its Phase 2 program at the Eau Claire Gold Project in Quebec’s James Bay region. The Toronto-based miner, listed on the TSX and NYSE American under the ticker FURY, disclosed that the drilling targeted areas classified as inferred mineral resources with the aim of upgrading them to higher-confidence categories.
The Phase 2 program has drilled 15,047 metres across 35 holes, with five holes abandoned. Assay results were returned for 22 holes totaling 11,423 metres. Samples were analyzed at ALS Chemex in Val D’Or, Quebec, using fire assay atomic absorption finish and multi-element four acid digest methods.
Key intersections included Hole 26EC-125, which returned 14.41 grams per tonne gold over 3.92 metres and 7.74 g/t over 1.96 metres. Hole 26EC-120 intersected 5.07 g/t over 6.00 metres, including a 10.20 g/t interval over 1.00 metre. Additional notable results came from Hole 26EC-129 with 10.35 g/t over 0.99 metres and Hole 26EC-115 with 4.19 g/t over 4.00 metres.
Fury Gold also holds a 5.8% equity stake in Contango Silver and Gold Inc., which operates in the same Eeyou Istchee Territory. The company did not provide updated resource estimates or guidance in the release. The drilling forms part of a broader program targeting 15,000 to 25,000 metres of total drilling.
