FingerMotion, Inc. (NASDAQ: FNGR) announced it has signed a letter of intent with the Town of Hanna and ATCO Energy for approximately 20.2 acres of industrial land at 409 Pioneer Trail South in Hanna, Alberta.
The land will be developed by subsidiary Hanna Campus #1 Inc. in partnership with Calgary-based BlueFlare Group Holdings Inc. The site has an agreement in place for 3 megawatts of grid power from the Town of Hanna, supplemented by a natural gas interconnection via ATCO Energy. FingerMotion plans to build a 9.9 MW facility on the property for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing clients.
Each campus within FingerMotion's Alberta program is designed to stay below 10 megawatts, enabling use of a streamlined approval pathway for smaller power plants under Alberta Utilities Commission Rule 007. The company said it expects permitting, power connections, and design to take approximately 120 to 180 days per campus.
The total Alberta program encompasses roughly 99 megawatts across power and computing sites. FingerMotion intends to contract capacity to clients under long-term agreements before committing construction capital. Clients can choose to contract for the site as powered land, a colocation arrangement, or a turnkey facility.
Chris Polimeni, FingerMotion's chief financial officer, said: "Power is the main scarce commodity for AI and HPC capacity, which is why we will seek to contract for capacity before we initiate construction of a facility."
The closing of the transaction remains subject to due diligence, execution of a definitive purchase agreement, and customary conditions.
The company is headquartered in West Palm Beach, Fla. FingerMotion first announced its Alberta data center program on September 10, 2026.
