Expion Energy Inc. said on Thursday it appointed Marc W. Jarvis to its board of directors, effective Aug. 28, 2026.
Jarvis brings more than 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including leadership roles in the Deep Tuscaloosa assets in Louisiana. He has structured and closed transactions exceeding $2.5 billion in acquisitions and divestitures within the sector, according to the company.
Currently a partner at Cynergy Advisors LLC, a consultancy providing transaction and investment banking services to oil and gas clients since 2009, Jarvis previously served as executive vice president of exploration and production at Falcon V LLC from 2016 to 2019. Before that, he held senior positions at Summit Discovery Resources LLC, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation, where he managed operations across an asset base valued at over $1.8 billion comprising 730,000 gross acres.
Jarvis holds bachelor's and associate's degrees in petroleum engineering technology from Oklahoma State University.
The appointment follows Expion Energy's recent executive appointments, including Kevin Sellers as chief executive officer and Robert Winspear as chief financial officer. The company operates an oil and gas platform in eastern Louisiana and manufactures lithium iron phosphate batteries for recreational vehicles, marine applications and industrial uses. Expion Energy is headquartered in Redmond, Oregon.
