Evaxion A/S (NASDAQ: EVAX) reported a net loss of $3.7 million for the second quarter of 2026, narrowing from $3.6 million in the prior quarter and $4.8 million in the same period a year earlier.
Research and development expenses totaled $2.3 million in the quarter, while general and administrative costs reached $1.5 million. Cash and cash equivalents stood at $14 million as of June 30, down from $18.4 million at the end of March, with management stating the balance is expected to fund operations into the second half of 2027.
Total equity decreased to $9.5 million from $17 million at year-end 2025, while total assets were $19.4 million as of June 30.
The company highlighted progress in its oncology pipeline. A three-year clinical update for EVX-01, its personalized cancer vaccine candidate, is scheduled for presentation at the ESMO Congress 2026 in October. EVX-04, an off-the-shelf acute myeloid leukemia vaccine, had data presented at the European Hematology Association Congress 2026, with a regulatory filing for clinical testing planned before year-end.
Evaxion also introduced EVX-05, a new glioblastoma vaccine targeting endogenous retrovirus-derived antigens, developed in partnership with Duke University School of Medicine. Separately, data for EVX-V1, its cytomegalovirus vaccine candidate, was presented at the International Herpesvirus Workshop 2026 in July.
In June, Evaxion received the Prix Galien UK Award for Best Digital Health Solution for its AI-Immunology platform.
