Energys Group Limited said it has acquired Cube Lighting and Design Limited and Cube Solar Installations Limited, two UK-based installation firms that previously served as delivery partners.
The purchases, completed on August 20 through Energys Group’s wholly owned subsidiary, integrate the acquired companies’ LED lighting and solar photovoltaic capabilities into Energys Group’s existing business. Cube Lighting focuses on LED installations for private and public sector clients, while Cube Solar provides solar PV systems, solar canopies, and battery storage solutions, with recent projects in the education sector.
Energys Group, founded in 1998, offers energy efficiency and decarbonization solutions to UK buildings, serving schools, universities, hospitals, and offices. The acquisitions aim to strengthen the company’s vertical integration, enhance delivery capacity, and improve margins, according to Kevin Cox, chief executive of Energys Group.
Haley Roberts, director of Cube Lighting, called the transaction a milestone for the team and its clients. Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed in the announcement.
