Eco Wave Power Global AB’s U.S. subsidiary has partnered with Germany-based AI engineering GmbH to develop a digital twin platform for wave energy technology, the companies said Monday. The collaboration integrates physics-based simulation with operational and wave data to model interactions between ocean waves and Eco Wave Power’s floaters.
Phase 1 of the project is underway and centers on digitally simulating how different sea conditions affect floater behavior, structural loads, and theoretical energy input. The initiative uses AI engineering’s PAMICS simulation technology, a particle-based multiphysics framework for fluid-dynamics and fluid-structure interaction applications. Simulated results will be benchmarked against real-world sensor measurements to build machine-learning models for forecasting energy yield and system loads.
The project leverages NVIDIA’s Omniverse for digital twin visualization and simulation workflows, alongside NVIDIA Warp for modeling and simulation tasks. Both Eco Wave Power U.S. and AI engineering are members of NVIDIA’s Inception program, which supports AI startups. Eco Wave Power has highlighted AI-related developments in 2026, including technology showcases in keynote presentations by NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang.
Eco Wave Power operates a grid-connected wave energy station at Jaffa Port in Israel and a pilot station at the Port of Los Angeles. The company’s founder and CEO, Inna Braverman, said the collaboration’s initial phase will focus on practical modeling of wave loading, floater behavior, structural forces, and theoretical energy input while beginning to develop forecasting capabilities for loads and energy yield.
