Eco Buildings Group PLC, a UK-listed construction company, has begun construction on the fourth and final floor of its first apartment block in Tirane, Albania, marking a significant milestone in its development partnership with Balfin Group.
The project, located in the Rolling Hills area of Tirane, is part of a multi-building program valued at approximately €13.2 million. Each of the six planned blocks will contain 18 residential units averaging 100 square meters. The expected revenue per block is around €2.2 million.
Contracts are currently in place for the first two blocks. Eco Buildings expects to finalize agreements for the remaining four blocks with Balfin Group before the end of 2026. The first apartment block is targeted for completion in early Q4 2026.
Dr. Etrur Albani, executive vice chairman of Eco Buildings Group, said the project demonstrates the company’s technology can compete in premium residential markets while maintaining speed and efficiency.
The firm has manufactured enough glass fiber reinforced gypsum walls to complete the first block and is currently building inventory for the second. A second wall manufacturing production line is under construction to support future contracts.
The apartment blocks serve as a precursor to a larger villa development that Eco Buildings is discussing with Balfin Group. The company has also received developer inquiries for additional projects spanning both luxury and affordable housing segments.
Balfin Group develops and manages real estate across six countries.
