discoverIE Group plc (LSE:DSCV) opened a 9,000 square-meter manufacturing plant in Jigani, Bangalore, on Monday, expanding its footprint in India more than twofold and tripling production capacity at its local unit.
The facility, part of the company’s Noratel business, will focus on power transformers and magnetic components used in electrification applications. Approximately 70% of discoverIE’s current output in India already serves domestic customers, primarily in renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
The expansion follows the implementation of the UK-India Free Trade Agreement in July 2026, which the company cited as reinforcing India’s role in its growth strategy. Nick Jefferies, Group Chief Executive of discoverIE, said India is one of the world’s most dynamic economies and an increasingly important market for the group.
discoverIE designs and manufactures customized electronics for industrial applications across global markets.
