Dino Polska’s shares surged 4.8% to 33.85 Polish złoty on Tuesday, marking the highest level in roughly a month as the Warsaw-listed retailer reported second-quarter net profit that exceeded analyst expectations.
The grocery chain posted consolidated net profit of 400.08 million zł for the three months ended June 30, up from 397.52 million zł in the same period a year earlier. Revenue increased to 9.53 billion zł from 8.62 billion zł year-over-year, driven by expansion of its store network, which now totals 3,176 locations across Poland.
Analysts polled by PAP Biznes had forecast net profit of 391.8 million zł for the quarter, according to the consensus provider. The outperformance contributed to the stock’s rebound from multi-year lows reached earlier in the year.
During the session, Poland’s WIG20 index advanced about 1%, while trading volume in Dino Polska shares reached approximately 75 million zł—a disproportionately large share of the index’s total turnover. The stock’s surge follows the earnings release and underscores investor interest in the retailer’s operational momentum despite broader market volatility.
