Digital 9 Infrastructure plc (DGI9) has completed its first compulsory redemption since initiating a managed wind-down process, returning £30 million to shareholders. The redemption equated to approximately 3.5 pence per existing ordinary share at a price of 9.2753 pence, representing a redemption ratio of 37.38%.
The company’s net asset value (NAV) stood at 8.6 pence per share as of June 30, 2026, up from 9.3 pence at December 31, 2025. The interim report, covering the six-month period ended June 30, 2026, was published on the company’s website and submitted to the National Storage Mechanism.
Digital 9 received £10 million in cash from the early settlement of the Verne Global earn-out during the reporting period, alongside a £0.4 million positive completion adjustment from the Aqua Comms disposal, which was finalized in fiscal year 2025. The portfolio now consists of two remaining assets: Arqiva and Elio Networks.
Funds for the capital return were sourced from disposals completed last year, repayment of the revolving credit facility, and the early settlement of the Verne Global earn-out, according to Chair Eric Sanderson. The investment trust remains listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE All-Share index.
InfraRed Capital Partners was appointed as investment manager in an advisory capacity on October 11, 2024, and as alternative investment fund manager on December 11, 2024.
