Diesel prices in Germany have surged to a new all-time high, according to figures released by the German Automobile Club (ADAC) on Thursday.
Based on average daily pump prices as of September 16, diesel averaged €2.453 per liter as of Wednesday, overtaking the previous record set on April 7, 2026.
Super E10 also climbed to a fresh peak, costing drivers €2.314 per liter. The gasoline variety has steadily hit new record levels over recent days, the ADAC said.
The latest prices were compiled from fuel station data across Germany, reflecting a sustained upward trend in retail fuel costs nationwide.
