Dexcom Inc. (NASDAQ: DXCM) said Monday that Jereme Sylvain has been promoted to chief operating officer while continuing to serve as chief financial officer. In the expanded role, Sylvain will oversee the company's global operations and quality teams.
Dexcom, a San Diego-based glucose biosensing company founded in 1999, develops technology for diabetes management and glucose tracking. The company said the leadership change is intended to drive alignment and accountability as it executes its growth strategy.
Sylvain joined Dexcom in 2018 and has served as executive vice president and CFO since 2021. During that period, he has led the finance team and guided growth and margin expansion efforts.
President and CEO Jake Leach called Sylvain an exceptional leader and a valued strategic partner, citing his understanding of the business, operational discipline and customer focus.
