CQS Natural Resources Growth and Income PLC shareholders approved a special resolution at a general meeting on September 8, 2026, giving the board authority to change the company's name without a further shareholder vote.
The resolution passed with 97.07% of votes cast in favor, equivalent to 5,040,477 votes. Against the proposal were 151,940 votes, while 85,073 votes were withheld and excluded from the for-and-against calculation. Votes cast represented 13.33% of the company's total voting rights, which stood at 39,098,238 shares.
The approval allows the company to amend Article 4 of its articles of association so that the name may be changed by a resolution of the directors. The board said it sought the flexibility because of an imminent change in investment manager, noting that the company's current name includes the name of its incumbent manager.
The proposal was classified as a special resolution, requiring a higher approval threshold than an ordinary resolution. The full text was submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and is expected to be filed at Companies House in line with UK Listing Rules 6.4.2 and 6.4.3.
