Copa Holdings Posts 16.8% Traffic Growth in August

Copa Holdings, S.A. released its traffic statistics for August 2026, showing a notable increase in both capacity and demand. Available seat miles climbed to 3,219.1 million, up from 2,755.1 million in the same month a year earlier, representing a 16.8% gain. Revenue passenger miles followed the same pattern, rising to 2,840.9 million from 2,432.2 million, also a 16.8% increase. The airline’s load factor, which measures the proportion of seating capacity filled, remained unchanged at 88.3% compared with August 2025. Copa Holdings operates passenger and cargo services through its subsidiaries across North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
