CNSide Diagnostics secures coverage deal with HCSC for CSF assay

CNSide Diagnostics said on Thursday it has signed a coverage agreement with Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) for its cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) assay, a diagnostic test used in neurological assessments.
The deal ensures reimbursement for the assay under HCSC's commercial insurance plans, which cover multiple states including Illinois, Texas, and New Mexico. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
HCSC, one of the largest U.S. health insurers, serves approximately 17 million members through its Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans. The coverage expansion is expected to improve patient access to the diagnostic test, which is used to evaluate conditions such as multiple sclerosis and other neurological disorders.
CNSide Diagnostics develops and commercializes CSF-based diagnostic tools, positioning the company in the growing market for precision neurology diagnostics. The company did not provide additional details on the timeline for implementation or the expected impact on revenue.
