BofA Securities raised its price target on Williams-Sonoma Inc. to $261 from $250, citing an improved outlook for comparable sales and earnings growth ahead of the home furnishings retailer’s second-quarter results, scheduled for release on Friday.
The firm’s new target implies a 25 times multiple on its fiscal 2027 earnings per share estimate, up from 24 times previously. Williams-Sonoma’s shares, which closed at $237.58 on Monday, have gained 34% year-to-date and now trade roughly 10% below the new target.
BofA’s forecast for comparable sales growth in the quarter stands at 4.5%, slightly below the 4.8% reported in the first quarter. The bank projects adjusted EPS of $2.08, in line with the $2.10 consensus. For the trailing twelve months, Williams-Sonoma’s diluted EPS is $8.93.
RBC Capital also upgraded its target to $260 from $192, citing a 4.9% sales increase estimate for the quarter, exceeding the 4.0% consensus. RBC’s adjusted EPS estimate for the period is $2.12, compared with the $2.06 consensus. Piper Sandler initiated coverage with a $253 target, while Telsey lifted its target to $255 from $225.
BofA’s outlook is supported by its aggregated credit and debit card data for the online furniture category, which showed sequential acceleration in the second quarter. According to InvestingPro, six analysts have revised their profit estimates upward for the upcoming period.
Williams-Sonoma’s 2026 Annual Meeting concluded with all board candidates elected. Voting results showed the lowest count at 78,538,330 shares and the highest at 101,258,346 shares.
Separately, the company’s Pottery Barn Kids brand launched a new children’s furniture and home decor collection in partnership with interior designer Bria Hammel, featuring cribs, beds, and decorative accessories.
