Blaize lowers 2026 revenue forecast despite Q2 revenue surge
Quarterly revenue rose sharply, but management trimmed long-term growth expectations citing macroeconomic uncertainty.

Blaize reported a 22% year-over-year increase in second-quarter revenue to $185 million, exceeding analyst estimates, but lowered its 2026 revenue outlook amid broader economic headwinds.
The company, which provides AI infrastructure solutions, cited weaker-than-expected demand in key enterprise markets as the primary driver for revising its long-term forecast. Blaize now expects 2026 revenue to reach $850 million, down from a prior projection of $950 million. Chief Executive Officer Mark Thompson attributed the adjustment to "persistent macroeconomic uncertainty" and "slower-than-anticipated adoption of AI workloads in large-scale deployments."
For the quarter, Blaize posted net income of $22 million, a 15% increase from the same period last year, driven by higher margins on software and services. Operating expenses rose 18% sequentially, reflecting investments in research and development and sales expansion.
Analysts at Jefferies maintained a hold rating on Blaize’s stock, citing the revenue outlook revision as a near-term headwind despite the strong quarterly performance. Shares were down 4% in after-hours trading following the announcement.
Blaize’s guidance for the third quarter projects revenue between $190 million and $200 million, with adjusted earnings per share expected in the range of $0.45 to $0.50. The company plans to host an investor call to discuss the updated outlook in detail.
