BlackRock reduces Big Yellow Group stake below 10%
Asset manager lowers ownership in self-storage operator as part of routine portfolio adjustments.

BlackRock has reduced its stake in Big Yellow Group, the U.K.-based self-storage operator, to below 10%, according to regulatory filings.
The reduction follows routine portfolio adjustments by the asset manager and does not reflect a change in its long-term view on the company, a spokesperson for BlackRock said. The filing did not specify the size of the stake prior to the reduction or the timing of the transaction.
Big Yellow Group operates a network of self-storage facilities across the U.K. and has expanded into France in recent years. The company’s shares were trading marginally lower in early London trading on Wednesday, though the decline was within broader market movements.
The move comes amid a broader trend of institutional investors periodically trimming or increasing positions in public companies as part of portfolio rebalancing or risk management strategies. BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, holds significant stakes in a wide range of companies globally.
A spokesperson for Big Yellow Group declined to comment on the development.
