BJ’s Wholesale Club Holdings Inc. is set to release quarterly earnings before Friday’s market open, with Wall Street projecting a 10.97% year-over-year revenue increase to $5.97 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $1.17, representing 2.63% growth.
The Westborough, Massachusetts-based retailer has beaten earnings estimates for two consecutive quarters, averaging a 4.5% surprise, including a 6.8% earnings beat and 4.62% revenue beat in May. Analysts anticipate a rebound in same-store sales as comparisons ease, with DA Davidson’s Michael Baker noting that investments in membership value pressured comps last quarter but should yield benefits in the near term.
UBS’s Mark Carden highlighted BJ’s pricing strategy, which has widened its lead on key consumables amid tariff refund reinvestments. The company’s 20–25% price advantage over conventional grocers remains a core competitive lever as it expands in Texas, where its four stores have ranked among its strongest launches.
Shares of BJ’s were trading at $91.79 on Thursday, implying a 12.2% upside to the mean analyst price target of $102.95. The stock trades at roughly 20 times forward earnings, about half of Costco Wholesale Corp.’s valuation multiple. The company’s market capitalization stands at $11.7 billion.
Same-store sales growth in consumer electronics reached 7% in the first quarter, while UBS projects modest but positive growth for the second quarter. Revenue estimates have remained largely flat over the past week, though EPS estimates have risen 0.83% over the last 60 days. The retailer’s 52-week high is $106.69.
