The Franklin Lakes, New Jersey-based firm’s stock touched an intraday peak of $187.50, near the lower end of its 52-week range of $187.50 to $213.08. Over the past 12 months, BDX has gained 19.65%, outpacing broader healthcare sector benchmarks.
Third-quarter adjusted earnings per share came in at $3.23, exceeding analyst forecasts of $3.13. Revenue totaled $5.0 billion, topping the $4.89 billion consensus estimate. The company attributed the upside to sustained demand for its medical devices and diagnostic products amid ongoing healthcare sector tailwinds.
Becton Dickinson also raised its full-year outlook, citing improved operational momentum and pricing power. The company has increased its dividend for 55 consecutive years, underscoring its commitment to shareholder returns amid cyclical market conditions.
