Swiss audit firm BDO announced that it will divest its real‑estate management operation to property‑services provider Privera effective early 2027. The transaction will move approximately 250 client mandates and 23 employees – 21 of them full‑time – from BDO to Privera.
The transferred staff have been based in BDO offices in Bern, Zurich and Wetzikon. Under the new arrangement they will join Privera locations in Gümligen and Wallisellen, requiring relocation to the latter sites. In addition, Privera will lease part of BDO’s existing office space in Solothurn, expanding its footprint in Switzerland’s Mittelland region.
Privera says the hand‑over will ensure continuity for clients, combining the experience of former BDO employees with Privera’s broader service platform and resources. The firm currently operates 15 offices across the country and has been owned by the Finnish PHM Group since 2024, integrating the Swiss business into an international real‑estate services network.
The move reflects BDO’s strategic decision to exit the property‑management segment and focus on its core audit and advisory services, while Privera seeks to broaden its client base and strengthen its operational presence in the Swiss market.
