Bank of America Corp. has appointed two managing directors to bolster its technology investment banking practice, according to an internal memo reviewed by Bloomberg News.
Asad Mahmood will join the bank’s Palo Alto, California office in the fall, focusing on semiconductor and quantum computing coverage. Mahmood previously served as a managing director at Barclays Plc.
Gregory Reider is joining the Brazil technology investment banking team this week, where he will cover Latin America’s technology and fintech sectors. Reider co-founded and was managing partner at Volpe Capital, a venture capital firm specializing in Latin American markets.
The hires reflect Bank of America’s push to expand its technology investment banking capabilities amid growing demand for sector-specific advisory services. The appointments follow a broader trend of financial institutions strengthening their tech-focused teams to address rising M&A activity and capital-raising needs in semiconductors, quantum computing, and Latin America’s digital economy.
