Baird Medical Investment Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ: BDMD) said on Wednesday it secured product registrations from Pakistan’s Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan for its BD-GT Microwave Ablation System and the T-1610 Disposable Microwave Ablation Needle.
The approvals clear the way for commercial introduction in Pakistan, where the company previously announced in January 2026 that its technology would be available at the Armed Forces Institute of Radiology & Imaging. Baird Medical has also highlighted earlier this year procedures completed by physicians in Vietnam and Argentina using its microwave ablation systems.
Haimei Wu, Chairwoman and CEO of Baird Medical, stated that establishing infrastructure to support sustained clinical adoption is critical to building a meaningful global presence beyond market entry. The company’s lead product, a microwave ablation system, holds U.S. FDA clearance for soft tissue ablation and is being introduced in the United States primarily for the treatment of benign thyroid nodules.
Baird Medical’s portfolio includes additional offerings such as irreversible electroporation-based products and an artificial intelligence-powered robotic ablation system. The company has cited clinical adoption at institutions including the Mayo Clinic, Columbia University Medical Center and The George Washington University Hospital as part of its broader commercialization strategy.
