Avantor Inc. (NYSE: AVTR) has appointed Todd Garner as executive vice president and chief financial officer, the company said Sept. 21.
Garner will oversee Avantor’s global finance organization, encompassing financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, tax, investor relations and internal audit. The announcement took effect immediately.
Prior to joining Avantor, Garner served as executive vice president and CFO at CONMED Corporation from 2018 through 2026. He brings more than 30 years of finance, operational and public-company leadership experience. Earlier in his career, he held the roles of vice president of investor relations and division CFO at C. R. Bard Inc.
Garner holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He is a certified public accountant.
Steve Eck, Avantor’s senior vice president and chief accounting officer, had been serving as interim CFO since June 24. He will continue in his role as chief accounting officer upon Garner’s assumption of the CFO title.
Avantor provides products and services to customers in the life sciences and advanced technology industries. The company is based in Radnor, Pa.
