Aurelia Metals reported a 69% increase in net profit after tax to AUD 82.7 million for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, as revenue surged 40% to AUD 480 million. The company declared its first dividend since 2020, with a fully franked final payout of AUD 0.01 per share totaling approximately AUD 17 million, payable in early October.
Gold production reached 50.4 thousand ounces, exceeding revised guidance, while total processed ore volume climbed to 806,000 tonnes. EBITDA rose 55% to AUD 189 million, with margins approaching 40%. Operating cash flow from Cobar operations after sustaining capital amounted to AUD 140.5 million, fully funding growth projects and exploration spending of nearly AUD 63 million. Cash at year-end stood at AUD 143 million, up from AUD 110.1 million a year earlier, with total liquidity reaching AUD 184 million following a June 2026 refinancing.
Earnings per share increased 69% to AUD 0.0488, supported by higher production volumes, improved recoveries, and favorable commodity prices. The company’s mineral resources expanded to 30.6 million tonnes, while ore reserves rose 49% to 8.2 million tonnes after depletion. Unit costs in the Cobar region declined to AUD 369 per tonne processed.
For FY2027, Aurelia Metals expects to process between 1.05 million and 1.15 million tonnes of ore, targeting 50,000 to 60,000 ounces of gold production. Base metals guidance includes 2.5 thousand to 3.5 thousand tonnes of copper, 26 to 34 thousand tonnes of zinc, and 17 to 25 thousand tonnes of lead. Unit costs are projected to fall 11% to 19%, reaching AUD 300 to AUD 330 per tonne.
Capital expenditure is forecast at AUD 65 million to AUD 75 million for sustaining projects and AUD 64 million to AUD 88 million for growth and exploration. The Great Cobar project remains on track for first production in FY2028, with the raise bore chamber base completion scheduled for November. Steve Badenhorst will assume the role of Managing Director and CEO on October 6, succeeding Martin Cummings, who served as interim CEO.
Shares of Aurelia Metals were trading at AUD 0.428, up 3.01% on the day, following the results announcement.
