AttoTude Inc. has reduced its integrated circuit design cycle to under six weeks, a more than 50% improvement, by deploying Keysight Technologies’ Advanced Design System (EDA) software. The company, which specializes in ASICs over Dielectric interconnect technology for AI and data center applications, achieved first-pass silicon success across advanced RF, sub-THz, and THz tape-outs using the platform.
The technology now supports per-lane data rates of 200G, 400G, and 800G, with signaling frequencies spanning from 100 GHz to 3 THz. AttoTude integrated Keysight’s EDA software into its full IC design workflow, leveraging its design data management capabilities for version control and workload coordination with full traceability for engineers working on sub-THz and THz subsystems.
Global semiconductor revenue is projected to exceed $1.3 trillion in 2026, with AI semiconductors expected to represent 30% of the market, according to industry forecasts. Keysight Technologies, listed on the NYSE under the ticker KEYS, provided the software platform used by AttoTude to accelerate its design processes.
Richard Chan, ASIC Architect and Development Leader at AttoTude, highlighted the challenges of developing platforms operating across such high frequencies, stating that the company required exceptional design accuracy and simulation fidelity to meet its objectives.
