Swiss technology firm Ascom announced it has secured one of two major framework contracts with Helse Sør‑Øst (HSØ), Norway’s largest regional health organization. The agreement, valued at roughly CHF80 million over seven years, covers the modernisation of existing facilities and the construction of new hospitals.
HSØ operates 30 hospitals across 70 sites, employs more than 85,000 staff and provides care to about 57% of the Norwegian population. Under the contract, Ascom will supply systems for patient calls, critical alarms and staff safety, integrating them into the organisation’s clinical and technical infrastructure.
The deal also includes separate orders for projects at the new Aker Hospital and the new Rikshospitalet in Oslo, where Ascom will deliver patient‑signalling and personnel‑safety solutions. Implementation of these projects is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026.
