Argo Graphene Solutions Corp. has appointed Dr. Said Al-Hallaj to its board of directors as the Vancouver-based company accelerates development of its graphene-based materials for energy storage and advanced electronics.
Dr. Al-Hallaj brings over two decades of expertise in battery systems, thermal management, and electric mobility to the role. His appointment follows the company’s exclusive license for STREAM, a graphene production technology developed by Grapherry, which Argo is positioned to fully acquire under existing terms. The technology underpins Argo’s STREAM-G graphene and STREAM-O graphene oxide products, currently under evaluation for applications in energy storage, AI infrastructure, construction, and composites.
The board addition comes as Argo, listed on the CSE under ticker ARGO and trading OTCQB as ARLFS, seeks to translate laboratory-scale graphene advancements into commercially viable solutions. Dr. Vikas Berry, Grapherry founder and Argo’s CEO, emphasized the strategic value of Dr. Al-Hallaj’s expertise during a period of rapid technological scaling.
Dr. Al-Hallaj currently serves as Chief Battery Scientist at Beam Global and is the founder and CEO of NETenergy, a Chicago-based thermal energy storage company. His academic credentials include a PhD in chemical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he was recognized among the top 2% of researchers in the field and received the 2022 Alumni Professional Achievement Award. His published work has amassed over 17,000 citations.
The appointment follows the recent addition of Sean McAlpine, a director with expertise in chemical and nanomaterials engineering, to Argo’s board. The company’s stock closed at 1.02 Canadian dollars on September 1, down 0.97% from the prior session.
