Ardelyx Inc. Chief Financial Officer Susan Hohenleitner sold 1,558 ordinary shares on August 21 in a tax-withholding transaction tied to the vesting of restricted stock units, according to a regulatory filing dated August 25.
The disposal occurred at a weighted average price of $3.86 per share, with the total value of the transaction reported at approximately $6,009. The price range for the sale spanned between $3.65 and $3.98 per share. Hohenleitner retains direct ownership of 227,520 Ardelyx shares following the transaction.
The insider trade follows Ardelyx’s second-quarter financial results, which showed revenue of $118 million, a 31% increase year-over-year and a record for the company. However, the company revised its full-year guidance for its IBSRELA product and removed revenue projections for XPHOZAH, prompting a sharp after-hours stock decline.
Ardelyx’s shares are currently trading near a 52-week low of $3.73, down 55% from the 52-week high of $8.40 and down 35% year-to-date. The company’s market capitalization stands at $932 million, with shares closing at $3.78 on August 25, up 1.07%. Options activity surged to 11,147 contracts traded, the highest since April 2025, with put options significantly outnumbering calls at 10,676 versus 471.
