Applied Industrial Technologies Inc. reported adjusted earnings per share of $2.45 for the quarter ended March 31, exceeding the $2.20 forecast by analysts. Revenue totaled $1.12 billion, up 7% from the same period last year and surpassing the $1.09 billion estimate.
The Cleveland-based industrial distributor attributed the outperformance to stronger demand across its end markets, including manufacturing and energy sectors. Management noted that supply chain normalization and pricing power contributed to the results.
Applied Industrial Technologies has maintained a steady growth trajectory in recent quarters, supported by its diversified customer base and operational efficiency initiatives. The company did not provide forward guidance in its earnings release.
Shares of Applied Industrial Technologies were up 2.1% in pre-market trading following the report.
