Amrize Ltd. announced the appointment of Samuel J. Poletti as Chief Financial Officer, effective August 24, succeeding Baris Oran, who is leaving for personal reasons. Poletti, who has served as Amrize’s Chief Strategy and M&A Officer since the company’s NYSE listing in June 2025, previously led the spin-off that established Amrize as an independent entity.
With a career spanning more than two decades at Holcim, Poletti oversaw mergers and acquisitions, finance and strategy functions, including transactions that doubled the size of the North American Building Envelope business and executed value-accretive deals across cement and aggregates. As CFO, he will be based at Amrize’s operational headquarters in Chicago.
Jan Jenisch, Chairman and CEO of Amrize, said: "I am thrilled to welcome Sam as our Chief Financial Officer. He is an exceptional leader with a high-impact track record and deep experience in our business, from his instrumental role in leading our spin-off to driving value-accretive transactions to position Amrize for growth in the most attractive markets."
The company also named Dillon Cumming as vice president of Investor Relations, effective September 8. Cumming joins from Walleye Capital, where he led financial and strategic analysis of the industrials sector, and previously covered major building materials companies at Morgan Stanley as Vice President of Equity Research.
Amrize, listed on the NYSE under the ticker AMRZ and on the SIX Swiss Exchange, reported $11.8 billion in revenue for 2025. The company operates over 1,000 sites with a distribution network spanning all U.S. states and Canadian provinces, serving construction markets including infrastructure, commercial, residential, and refurbishment projects.
Forward-looking statements in the announcement are subject to risks including market conditions, demand volatility in construction, raw material costs, energy prices, adverse weather, competitive pressures, interest rate fluctuations, litigation, regulatory changes, and challenges related to the company’s separation from Holcim Ltd. Actual results may differ materially from expectations.
