AMETEK Inc. has finalized the acquisition of Indicor Instrumentation, a portfolio of instrumentation businesses owned by Indicor LLC, for $5.0 billion in cash. The transaction, announced on Aug. 26, 2026, expands AMETEK's presence in industrial and scientific measurement solutions.
The acquired businesses generated approximately $350 million in annual sales in 2026 and are expected to contribute modestly to AMETEK's adjusted earnings for the year. AMETEK's total annualized sales currently stand at about $9.0 billion, with the deal reinforcing its position in recurring revenue streams through consumables, services, and post-sale support.
Indicor Instrumentation specializes in developing and manufacturing instrumentation for industrial and scientific applications. The acquired assets will be integrated into AMETEK's Electronic Instruments Group and Electromechanical Group, aligning with existing product lines and market focus.
David A. Zapico, Chairman and CEO of AMETEK, said: "We are excited to complete this highly strategic acquisition and welcome the Indicor Instrumentation team to AMETEK."
