American Battery Technology Company reported unaudited financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026 ended June 30, 2026, with gross profit rising 86% year-over-year to $1.3 million.
Quarterly revenue increased 5.1% from the prior quarter to $8.2 million, while cost of goods sold fell 2.8% to $6.9 million. The company maintained a zero-debt balance sheet and held $50.3 million in cash at quarter-end, including $49.5 million in unrestricted funds.
The Tonopah Flats Lithium Project in Nevada secured a reinstated $57 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy following a successful appeal. The funding will support construction of the project’s first processing train. American Battery Technology operates a Nevada facility that recycles critical minerals from battery energy storage systems, end-of-life vehicles, and consumer electronics.
A federal directive effective August 27, 2026, restricts the export of black mass from the U.S. unless an exception is granted by the Department of Commerce. Black mass sales currently account for the majority of the company’s revenue, with most customers located outside the U.S. in OECD countries. American Battery Technology has submitted an exception request to the Bureau of Industry and Security.
