U.S. stock futures advanced on Tuesday, with Dow contracts up 0.5%, S&P 500 futures gaining 0.5% and Nasdaq 100 futures rising 1.0%, as investors positioned ahead of Thursday’s U.S. inflation report and Nvidia’s quarterly results to assess interest rate prospects and AI trade dynamics.
Premarket activity featured notable gains among several stocks. Shift4 Payments rose 3.4% after Wells Fargo upgraded the payments technology firm to Overweight from Equal Weight, assigning a $59 price target. The bank cited undervaluation relative to peers and long-term growth potential.
Advanced Micro Devices climbed 2.5% following a Raymond James upgrade to Strong Buy from Outperform. The brokerage raised its price target to $641 from $565, projecting a 44% compound annual growth rate for the AI server CPU market through 2030, with revenue expected to reach approximately $201 billion. Analysts highlighted expanding data-center capacity, demand for CPUs coordinating AI accelerators and growth in agentic computing workloads as key drivers.
Bloom Energy surged 6.4% after congressional disclosures revealed that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi established a position in the company. Pelosi purchased 15,000 Class A shares on July 24 and July 28, along with 200 call options with a $100 strike price expiring in June 2027. The combined position was valued between roughly $4.25 million and $14.5 million. Pelosi also disclosed purchases of Intel shares and options; Intel is a customer of Bloom Energy for data-center power solutions.
Brenx jumped 15.1% to $4.81, extending a volatile stretch for the micro-cap clean-energy company following a major corporate restructuring finalized earlier in the month. T3 Defense soared 64.3% before trading was halted due to volatility, resuming later. Noble Financial initiated coverage with a Buy rating and raised its price target to $30 from $20. The company’s Rimon subsidiary reported record July revenue of $2.6 million, while year-to-date revenue reached about $5.25 million, exceeding the $4.6 million generated in all of 2025. A contrasting report from Fugazi Research questioned T3 Defense’s financial performance, capital structure and acquisition strategy, attributing growth to capital markets activity rather than sustainable operations.
