AL Sydbank A/S repurchased 35,000 of its own shares during the week ended Sept. 18, with daily purchases of 7,000 shares at volume-weighted average prices ranging from DKK 687.45 to DKK 701.21, according to a filing on Sept. 21.
The transactions brought the total cost for the week to DKK 24,302,950. Since the buyback programme began on March 2, the bank has repurchased a cumulative total of 1,214,000 shares at a cost of DKK 684,533,310, executing through Danske Bank A/S.
Following the week’s purchases, AL Sydbank holds 1,214,709 of its own shares, representing 1.41% of the bank’s share capital. The company’s DKK 1.1 billion programme, announced on Feb. 25, is scheduled to conclude on Jan. 31, 2027. The bank stated the buybacks are intended to reduce share capital.
The repurchase activity is being conducted in compliance with EU Regulation No 596/2014 and Commission Delegated Regulation 2016/1052.
