Airtasker reported a 14.9% year-on-year increase in group gross merchandise value (GMV) to a record AUD 240 million for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, as shares rose 18.18% to AUD 0.26 following the release of its earnings call transcript.
Marketplace revenue reached AUD 57.8 million, up 15.5%, while statutory group revenue grew 9.9% despite the planned wind-down of the Oneflare business. Australian marketplace revenue rose 11.3% to AUD 46.3 million, with Australian GMV climbing 10.9% to AUD 211.6 million. Free cash flow in Australia totaled AUD 16.5 million, an 8.6% increase from the prior year, after accounting for global head office costs.
International expansion drove stronger growth, with U.K. revenue jumping 55% to AUD 4.4 million and U.S. revenue soaring 150% to AUD 1.3 million. U.K. GMV grew 47% to AUD 21.6 million, while U.S. GMV increased 141% to AUD 6.3 million. The combined annualized GMV run rate for the U.K. and U.S. exceeded AUD 40 million by June, supported by media partnerships with Channel 4, iHeartMedia, and others.
Management highlighted a 96% increase in its rebooking program, which generated roughly 33,000 annual bookings and AUD 8 million in GMV. The company also launched paid membership programs, including Airtasker Membership and Pro Pass for professional tradespeople, reaching 10,000 paid subscribers by June with a target of 50,000. The monetization rate in Australia remained stable at 21.9%.
Cash and term deposits stood at AUD 12.54 million at year-end, while net operating cash outflow totaled AUD 2.3 million, within the guided range of AUD 5 million to AUD 6 million. Gross profit margin over the last twelve months was 56.73%, and the current ratio was 3.3. The company settled partnership notes with oOh!media and ARN Media for AUD 10.8 million, securing a AUD 300,000 early settlement reduction.
Management reiterated its expectation for group free cash flow to turn positive in the fiscal year ending June 2027, with no plans for a near-term capital raise. Shares had previously traded at a 52-week low of AUD 0.18 and high of AUD 0.48.
