Agilent Expands Clinical Lab Systems for DNA, RNA Analysis

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) announced the launch of two TapeStationDx systems, the 4150 and 4200, designed for quality control of DNA and RNA samples in clinical laboratory settings. Both systems carry CE-IVD labels, extending Agilent's automated electrophoresis technology into regulated clinical environments. The 4150 TapeStationDx analyzes 1 to 16 samples using tube strips, while the 4200 handles 1 to 96 samples using tube strips or 96-well plates. Both systems process samples in approximately 1 to 2 minutes per sample. The accompanying software includes data acquisition, analysis, reporting, and data export capabilities, featuring audit trails and electronic signatures to support compliance with regulations including 21 CFR Part 11 and EU Annex 11. The systems are available in North America and select European markets, including the United States, Canada, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, and the Netherlands. Agilent will display the TapeStationDx portfolio at the Italian Society of Human Genetics National Congress (October 7–9, 2026, Rimini), the American Society of Human Genetics Annual Meeting (October 20–24, 2026, Montreal), and the Association for Molecular Pathology Annual Meeting (November 10–14, 2026, Seattle).
