Aevex Corp. (AVEX) shares slipped roughly 3.9% in early trade, settling at $16.23. The decline follows a broader market rally, suggesting a company‑specific catalyst.
Piper Sandler launched coverage of the unmanned‑systems maker with a neutral rating and set a price target of $20, indicating modest upside from current levels.
The brokerage highlighted a concentration risk tied to the Phoenix Ghost and EUCOM Deep Strike program, a sole‑source award that has accounted for more than 90% of systems delivered or committed through fiscal year 2026. With no renewal pending, analysts question the firm’s growth trajectory beyond FY26.
Aevex also disclosed a collaboration with Divergent Technologies to create autonomous unmanned platforms. The partnership will leverage Divergent’s AI‑enabled design, additive manufacturing and robotic assembly capabilities.
Meanwhile, the S&P 500 rose 0.1%, the Dow Jones gained 0.4% and the Nasdaq was essentially flat, underscoring that the pressure on AVEX stemmed from its own fundamentals rather than broader market moves.
