Aerostar H1 profit nearly doubles on 21% operating margin
Romanian aerospace firm Aerostar reports a sharp rise in first-half net profit, driven by stronger operational efficiency and revenue growth.

Aerostar SA said on Thursday its first-half net profit nearly doubled, boosted by a widening operating margin to 21%, as the Romanian aerospace and defense contractor reported improved operational efficiency and revenue growth.
The company did not disclose specific profit figures in its statement, but attributed the increase to higher sales and cost discipline. Aerostar’s operating margin expanded from 13% in the same period last year, reflecting stronger execution across its defense and civil aviation segments.
Revenue rose in the first six months of 2024, though Aerostar did not provide exact figures. The company has highlighted ongoing demand for its aerospace components and defense systems, particularly in European markets.
Aerostar, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, has been expanding its production capacity and securing new contracts in recent quarters. The improved margin comes amid broader industry trends favoring leaner operations and higher-value manufacturing in the aerospace sector.
The company’s shares were not immediately available for comment on the announcement.
