Roche Partner MediLink Reports 54% OS Risk Reduction for Tam-Peli in Phase III SCLC Trial

South San Francisco (dpa-AFX) - Roche said MediLink Therapeutics released interim results from the randomized Phase III TAISHAN-302 trial evaluating Tam-Peli (tambotatug pelitecan, YL201) versus topotecan in Chinese patients with relapsed small-cell lung cancer who had progressed after prior platinum-based chemotherapy with or without a PD-L1 inhibitor.

The trial met its primary endpoint of overall survival, with Tam-Peli reducing the risk of death by 54% compared with topotecan. It also reduced the risk of disease progression by 71% and produced an objective response rate of 59.1% versus 9.7% for standard of care.

TAISHAN-302 is the second successful Phase III readout for Tam-Peli in China after TAISHAN-301 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Under Roche's collaboration and exclusive licensing agreement with MediLink, Roche holds development, manufacturing, and commercialization rights for Tam-Peli worldwide outside mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. Roche said it is advancing clinical development across multiple solid tumor types and plans to rapidly initiate global Phase III trials.

Roche's RHHBY shares closed Friday's regular trading at $52.75, down $0.44, or 0.83%.
