Swiss lock-technology group Dormakaba said Tuesday it has agreed to acquire Britain-based software company Alliants Limited, strengthening its position in hotel access solutions.
Alliants has built what Dormakaba described as a strong track record supplying digital hotel keys through Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. The company’s digital-key technology was named by Time magazine as one of the best inventions of 2025.
Alliants’ offering includes proprietary software for guest-experience management and managed services designed to accompany hotels through every stage of the guest journey—from pre-arrival through post-departure. Its service portfolio covers concierge functions, contactless check-in, mobile room keys, payment capabilities, messaging tools and so-called Agentic AI. The firm operates globally and employs more than 100 people.
Dormakaba declined to disclose financial terms of the transaction. It said completion is conditional on receipt of regulatory approvals, which are expected later this year.
